Janet Stubblefield is one of my last all time amazing girl Friends. She has been around for 8 years and I still love her to pieces…which is rare. Janet and her best friend (at the time) got placed in a dorm with me in 2002. The other girl HATED me….she disliked my music, my cleaning…she just was not a fan. In her defense I would get drunk and lock myself out of our room and have to wake them up, or leave my computer on and my screen saver would blare show tunes from Peter Pan The Musical, and once when I was high I compared them to old produce ( Janet---I am still sorry about this years later). The other girl even tried to get Janet to move out of our dorm room, but Janet put her foot down. J-Stubbs and I had an automatic connection—Catholic, blonde, outgoing, she liked Dispatch the moment she heard them…she was just awesome. Well when sophomore year rolled around I found myself living with a girl who loved my boyfriend and worked at a strip club and Janet found herself living in a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 girls…we couldn’t stay away from one another and moved back in together to NoPo 1824 and have stayed best friends ever since. Living together for 3 year Janet and I know each other very well...she knows I like to sleep when it’s cold and I know that can still bust out cheerleading routines from high school. I miss our dance parties (flashlights and all), booty wall dancing, poppers, Malibu mango, sitting on the balcony watching it rain, SJP, but mostly living with one of my best friend. I haven’t seen J-Stubbs in 4 years but we talk all the time…and this blog was pretty much started for her…Janet has gone and shacked up with a boy whom she is now engaged to and I am a brides maid in her wedding(YA)…it just goes to show if you put effort into a friendship you can stay close. I can’t wait to see her Friday…so stinking excited.

Dustin and I cuddling in Jeannette's cottage.
Dustin is coming…Dustin is coming. Dustin Charles McLaws is the love of my life (albeit gay as a fanny pack). I fell in love with Dustin my junior year in college and have never looked back. He is so funny, so kind, and has the best laugh EVER. Dustin and I went to Mexico with our program for 10 days and pretty much didn’t leave one another’s side…I could tell you some funny stories about lesbians loving me and Dustin NOT helping or Dustin/Ashley cuddle time on the train. Dustin is my best friend in the entire world, he is Mormon and gay but is also the most generous person I have ever met. Dustin visits me in CO 4 times a year…that’s how in love we are. If I go more than three months without seeing him I get cranky! So Dustin is coming down Friday afternoon to do lunch with me and hit up the bookstore, Ben’s Bells, tailgating, and game! I am so lucky to have him in my life…

I get to see this amazing lady. Jeannette is my amazing college professor who paid me to watch her kids, lets me stay at her house when needed, and the amazing women who started Ben’s Bells. Ben’s Bells started because Jeannette’s son died and the kindness of strangers and friends sustained her. So naturally a non-profit based on kindness and Jeannette’s family is a place for me. Jeannette was the first person I called when Marcia died, and she came to the funeral and held my hand the whole time…I love this lady to pieces. She is this hugely influential person in my life and she makes me want to improve who I am daily. He son Matty is amazing and I would totally marry him if he wasn’t 15. Ben’s Bells Friday night…Za and Beer anyone??

My amazing brother Bradley is coming down to watch the game. Brad is the coolest kid I know BY FAR ( so cool that I let it slide that he is a Republican) and honestly has a heart of gold. A lot of who I am is because of my brother and his constant life challenges and amazing beat downs while growing up ( our last fight I kicked a hole in his door and he bruised by arm…that was a little over a year ago..don’t let the Rable kids drink and watch PJ dvds). Brad is very successful and is currently working full time (70 hours a week) and in a full time MBA program…kid is RIDIC. Ever year Bradley and his friends come up for one CU game, it’s about time Brad came down to cheer on the cats….especially since CU joins the PAC next year. I love him with all my heart!

**J-Bray**Miss Jenny is tentatively on the schedule to go out after the football. She has to work so can’t make it down for the game but really wants to play. The last time I saw Jenny was 2 years ago when her and her boyfriend came out to celebrate New Years. Jenny is now- Jennifer Williams—married and living in Goodyear. J-Bray and I became friend via American Sign Language sophomore year of college.... and for a large portion of college she was one of my best friends. Jenny taught me the infamous butter dance and was always around to listen to be bitch about Bryan. J-Bray went"missing"our senior year and I feared I would never get her back, but alas that girl is stronger than anyone realizes and she is doing amazing. I really hope she makes it down because nobody else will interview people with curling irons in a busy bar at the age of 25 or do the butter dance in tube socks.

Finally the Parsgehians…no pictures and not a lot of words. This family means more to me than any other beside my own. We have been through hell together, I have put them through hell…words can’t even begin to express. But if you know me, you know. I am so lucky to be staying with them…my home away from home at home!
I had a great college experience, I did crazy things, I lived with amazing people, I volunteered, I love my University, I love my degree, I had a boyfriend for the better part (which looking back…not so great), but mostly I made AMAZING friend.
T-TOWN: thank you for your amazing weather, for my University, for my friend...and for helping to make me..well…. me.
You are one amazing woman! I can't wait to see you! It was like a trip down memory lane reading these little write-ups of us. I feel lucky to have a friend like you! :)
