When you have insomnia, you're never really asleep... and you're never really awake.
I am an insomniac. No I am not one of those people who has trouble sleeping every now and then… No, I am not a person who had one bad night of sleep and says "Ugh Insomnia". I am a diagnosed, full blown, cry because I am so tired chronic insomniac. There are three kinds of insomnia:
• insomnia as secondary to another condition,
• primary insomnia co-morbid with one or more conditions, or
• free-standing primary insomnia.
I have free standing- primary insomnia- which means its a sleep disorder not attributable to a medical, psychiatric, or environmental causes.
Sleeping pills helps…. they really do(for the most part)! Last night I ran out and boy was it a rough night ( though I did get a lot done!). So today, thank you little pills of slumber!

I remember you staying up all the time in college. I didn't understand how you did it, until I realized you generally couldn't sleep most of the time. Thank goodness for the pills!
