So I have decided to start blogging, I need something to link me to the people who aren’t in my daily life. Like most things I, I asked my best friend Dustin if he thinks this would be a good idea and he said, “Yes, I’d like that.” So here we go…..Today has been a weird day…busy and stressful. I feel, as I get older, that people take advantage of my kindness …It makes me question who I am when this happens and if being kind really is the way to go…it seems to me selfish/mean people get what they want more often.
When I have days like this, days where I question everything and don’t have answers to any of the conundrums I am sending into the university, I like to think of one moment that always makes me smile (please oogle the picture).
This is Michael Najarian , also known as Mad Dog and Night Terrors. Mike is the drummer of State Radio, my favorite band, and also plays guitar in a band called Ratfynkt. This picture takes some explanation so please stick with me. When I was in high school/college I love the band Dispatch but sadly they broke up. One of the members, Chad Stokes, started a new band named State Radio and I am a huge fan (some might say die hard). I see State Radio every time they come to town, and in October I decided I have a crush on Mike. At January’s show in Boulder, Mike asked me to meet him out after the show and got my digits. The picture you see here is right before a show in New Orleans in March, I adore Mike Najarian. He is so fun, sweet, kind, and generally cares about the people in his life. So moral of the story…when I have a bad day, I think of kissing a rock star.
Ashley - You are one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I know. It is sad, but there are people who will try take advantage of those qualities and make you questions yourself, but don't let them. When a situation like that comes up, remember your pic :) Besides, how many of those people do you think can say they've kissed a rock star? ;)

This is a quote from my mom which I think you might enjoy "So there I was in the meeting with my boss yelling at us and I look down and all I can think is...Damn those are some really cute shoes". When my mom has bad days she thinks about her cute shoes. HAHA
